Experienced designers, fabricators and installers of window systems for:

Baysgarth School, Barton

The Brief:
Refurbishment of north elevation of the three story science block consisting of over 100 units.

Our Solution:
As with many school properties dating from the 1950’s, the existing aluminium windows were in poor condition. We removed all old units, which was all the more challenging as the old soffits contained asbestos. We removed in a way so as to ensure minimal disruption to the asbestos and avoid cross-trade ‘infections’. This was done by leaving part of the old windows in, boarding up the area and allowing the asbestos contractors to work in isolation removing the soffits. The remainder of the old windows were then removed when we installed the new units.

To ensure minimal disruption to the school, this work was carried out during the summer holidays. We even gave the render a lick of paint whilst the scaffolding was there.
